Excellent Short Run Duplication & Printing Prices

Our prices start from:
just 40p each for a duplicated and printed CD with thermal black titling only* 
just 64p each for a duplicated and printed CD with full colour printing*

For quantities over 500 we offer a 10% discount* on the total net price.
For quantities over 1000 we offer a 20% discount* on the total net price.

All the prices quoted do not include VAT or delivery and the prices quoted for packaging do assume that the discs will be included with the pack.  There are no other hidden costs for the printing and or duplication of discs, no set up charges will be made as long as we recieve your artwork in its final state having followed our instruction for supply of artwork as shown below.  As no set up charge is made for disc duplication and printing, for quantities of 15 or below discs per run we do double the price of any disc shown in the table below. 

For a full colour disc printing artwork must be supplied using our template and the instruction guide below.  For the black thermal title print option onto a white or shiney silver disc, the text finish is much more effective if we unput the text into the print software ourselves, therefore, we will require that you supply us with the font you would like us to use, the size and the position. It is a good idea to send us the text layout as a guide on the template supplied.  This type of thermal print is best used for text only, and if you do require very simple black only images they must be supplied as 16 colour bitmaps only. We can not use images supplied in any other format and a charge will be made for any conversion of image files.

For both types of print, there are no set up costs and we will always send a scan of the first disc of the run for your review before we carry on with the run.  Payment will be required in full on acceptance of this scan.

Short Run Duplication Vs Replication

TechnoVisual specialises in Short Run duplication and digital printing in-house and the processes we use differ significantly from those used by larger replication houses, They Have To! - in order to make dealing with small quantities of discs a viable option.  There are no real economies of scale and therefore we are able to charge the same price per item for 15 discs as we would for 400. TechnoVisual will duplicate and print as few discs as required, once we reach 500 or more units in one order, we will take 10% off the net total price and for 1000 or more units in one order, we will take 20% off the total net price.  TechnoVisual will print quantities of 12 and under but we do double the net price of the disc for these very small amounts. 

We are also happy to supply discs with duplication of content only, or should you prefer we can print onto the surface of the disc only, ready for you to burn the discs with the content of your choice.   We can also add a gloss lacquer to the discs if you like which acts to protect and improve the print surface @ 15p plus vat extra per disc.  Please see the prices listed below. 

We have a fast turnaround time and for short runs including packaging, production time is very rarely anymore than one week from acceptance of our prototype to delivery.  Most low volume jobs including just disc duplication and printing can be completed in 48 hours from time of acceptance to completion of the run.

Our short run printing services specialise in the production of short run CD and DVD printing, providing a full colour or black thermal titling only, with a good quality finish. We also offer an excellent quality design service for any project, from CD and DVD inlays to company brochures on CD-ROM.

TechnoVisual stocks a number of quality products for packaging your CDs and DVDs. Pocket Packs - We supply 2 main types of 'Pocket Pack.'  They can be used for booklets, cards, posters, tickets or even invites, they look just like a digipack from the outside and can have the same matt or gloss film finish.  They can be added to 4 and 6 panel digipacks.

1) Integrated Pockets - The whole panel of the digipack is made into a tabbed pocket -  This can be added to any of the above digipacks apart from the Value Digipack  - Extra 70p each

2) Clear Plastic Adhesive Pockets - These can be added to the inside panel of any of the above digipacks and the print of the panel can be seen through the clear pocket - Extra 40p each  

We can also add plastic business card pockets into digipacks - Extra 30p each

Booklets - We can also add booklets to the inside front panel of the digipack by making them part of the pack itself, we do this by gluing the front or back page (usually back page) of the booklet to the inside front panel of the digipack.  CD Booklets are charged at 10p per printed page, no extra charge is made to glue the booklet into the digipack but we do include the price of the glued-in page even though it does not need to be printed.  For Example an 8 page CD booklet ( or 7 printed pages if the booklet were glued into a digipack) would be 80p each.

DIGIPACKS

All our digipacks and all the other packs mentioned below are made in-house, so turnaround can be kept to a minimum and with each pack we offer the added security of updating you and guiding you throughout the process.  We will always check your artwork and send you one full prototype package for your review first so that you can be 100% sure that you are completely happy with the package before committing to your full package run.  We do advise that you have the addition of the protective film added to your digipack as this really helps to protect the packs and keep them clean, it also prevents stress lines appearing in the print particularly when artwork is dark in colour. 

We are happy to work with you to get the digipack looking exactly right for you, we can offer various options with these packs for example using a foam hub instead of a digitray for the CD and there are various extras which can be included with the digipack for example booklets attached to the inner front panel, pockets for posters or pockets for business cards.

DIGIPACK TYPES 

In order to suit each individual project and budget, we offer 4 designs of digipack:

1) VALUE DIGIPACKS  - A NEW DESIGN AT AN AMAZING INTRODUCTORY PRICE

• Single CD/DVD card 4 panel digipack printed on every panel with a clear tray (or black  tray if prefered). Made with one thickness of high quality card and coated inside and out with high gloss plasticised protective film (over 500gsm total) @ just £1.00 each

• Single CD/DVD card 4 panel digipack printed on every panel with a clear tray (or black tray if prefered). Made with one thickness of high quality card and coated inside and out with ultra matt plasticised protective film (over 500gsm total) @ just £1.10 each  

2) STANDARD 3 PRINTED PANEL DIGIPACKS  

Single CD/DVD card 4 panel digipack (3 printed panels) with a black tray only.  This pack has a double layer card front panel 600gsm and a single layer card back panel.  The whole pack is then covered by a protective 45 micron gloss or matt film layer.  As the disc tray is attached to the inside back panel, this makes for a high quality structured pack.

• No film coating, giving a smooth satiny finish (not advisable with dark artwork as stress lines do start to appear without film, this is not such an issue with lighter artwork) @ £1.30 each 

• With glossy film coating which makes the pack look very classy and adds water and fade proofing and durability @ £1.50 each

• With an ultra matt coating, this is a subtle but lovely coating, adding water and fade proofing and durability @ £1.60 each. 

We also do this pack with texture 'Hammer Card'  giving a unique raw highly textured appearance @ £1.50 each

 3) PREMIUM DIGIPACKS 

Single CD/DVD card 4 panel digipack (4 printed panels) with clear tray so the 4th printed panel can be seen, or black tray if preferred.  This pack has a double layer card front panel and back panel giving 600gsm.  The whole pack is then covered with a protective 45 micron film layer, giving a very high quality and well structured pack.

• No film coating, giving a smooth satiny finish (not advised with dark artwork as stress lines will start to appear, this is not an issue with light artwork) @ £1.40 each 

• With glossy film coating which makes the pack look very classy and adds water and fade proofing and durability @ £1.60 each

• With an ultra matt coating, this is a subtle but lovely coating, adding water and fade proofing and durability @  £1.70 each.

• We also do this pack with texture 'Hammer Card'  giving a unique raw highly textured appearance @ £1.60 each

Single CD/DVD card 6 panel digipack (5 or 6 printed panels) with black or clear tray.  This pack has a double layer of card all through @ 600gsm plus a 45 micron protective film layer over the whole pack.

•  No film coating, giving a smooth satiny finish (not advised with dark artwork as stress lines will start to appear, although this is not an issue with light artwork) @ £1.80 each 

•  With a glossy film coating which makes the pack look very classy and adds durability @ £2.00 each

•  With an ultra matt coating, this is a subtle but lovely coating, adding water and fade proofing and durability @ £2.10 each

Double CD/DVD card 6 panel digipack (4 or 6 printed panels) with two black or clear trays.  This pack has thicker spines and a double layer of card all through -  600gsm plus a 45 micron protective film layer over the whole pack.

•  No film coating, giving a smooth satiny finish (not advised with dark artwork as stress lines will start to appear, this is not an issue with light artwork) @ £1.90 each

•  With a glossy film coating which makes the pack look very classy and adds durability @ £2.10 each

•  With an ultra matt coating, this is a subtle but lovely coating, adding water and fade proofing and durability @  £2.20 each

4)  DELUXE DIGIPACKS

For those who like real 'excellent quality,' we are able to offer a pack using photo quality card printed with an extremely high quality large format inkjet printer with K3 inks and covered on both sides (encapsulated) with high quality gloss or matt film.  These packs are only offered with a film coating.  Many of the 'wedding style' digipacks we have produced use this method and they are truly gorgeous.

This type of digipack is manufactured using two main designs:

i) 4 Panel Deluxe Digipack
As a normal landscape 'jewel case style' single disc, 4 printed panel digipack (with a clear digi tray or 3 printed panels if you choose an opaque black tray for the disc) - Add £1.00 to the premium 4 printed panel prices above. 

ii) 6 Panel Deluxe Digipack
As a portrait style single or double disc, 6 panel digipack with clear or black digi trays -  Add £1.00 to the premium single and double disc 6 panel prices above.   

DVD Case size 4 panel digipacks- Add an extra 40p on any of the above 4 panel digipack prices.  These digipacks have a DVD case size digitray for the disc.

Bespoke Digipacks - we can add booklets, pockets, business card holders, printed slip cases etc. to all designs of pack - Please call for a quote.

OUR DIGIPACKS AND POCKET PACKS JUST KEEP GETTING BETTER

TechnoVisual has been manufacturing short runs of custom made packs such as digipacks, printed card wallets and pocket packs in-house for many years now and we are very proud of these packs.  The high gloss or ultra matt film coating we use on all our digipacks and pocket packs makes them look and feel very elegant and luxurious, great for those customers who prefer a more durable finish, which is also water-resistant and fade-resistant.  The film coating also acts to stop any stress lines appearing around the folds of the card.

TechnoVisual has stream-lined its ideas and processes and we are now able to offer a range of digipack types made in slightly different ways to suit your budget and taste.  We are able to cater for  many different requirements, from wedding digipacks and one-off high quality portfolio packs, to the more straight forward yet classy digipacks required by bands starting out on their road to success. 

Our most popular type of digipack is the 4 panel or 6 panel 'Premium Digipack.'  This is a very well made and very durable pack, made from a double layer of high quality 300gsm card, printed with your artwork on both sides using digital print.  The Xerox digital printer we use offers very rich colour and a high resolution finish.  Although it is not essential to have the film coating, it is very much advised especially with dark colours.  If the arwork has a white background then a film coating is not required and we have had some very nice results.

The really gorgeous 'Deluxe' digipacks (both 4 and 6 panel) we can now produce are for those jobs requiring finesse and elegance, with high quality photos and extras such as booklets or pockets for business cards or invitations.  These very high quality packs are made using high resolution photo card and the print quality is second to none, we use a very high quality Epson large format inkjet printer for these packs, which has 8 separate inks for outstanding colour definition.  4 panel packs of this type start at £2.40 plus vat per pack, remember if the quantity drops below 16 this price will be doubled.

Our digipack range starts with our 4 printed panel 'Value Digipacks.'   These are great looking digipacks, with a single layer of high quality printed card and a thick layer of gloss or matt film coating; at just £1.00 plus vat for the gloss finish pack or £1.10 plus vat each for the pack with a matt finish.

TechnoVisual has one more specialist offering for both our digipacks and printed card wallets.  We can now supply these packs made from a highly textured card called 'Hammer Card', which gives a raw almost parchment like feel and appearance.  This textured card works very well with some types of artwork.

Our 'Pocket Packs' are made in a very similar way to our digipacks but have the addition of clear plastic pockets.  These pockets do not interrupt the printed panel behind and are best used in addition to a digitray for holding a second disc, a booklet, invite or even photographs.  They have the same look as a digipack from the outside with the same classy high gloss or ultra matt finish. 

We have an offer on at the moment with all types of digipack and pocket packs, if purchased with a duplicated and colour printed CD with either a matt or gloss finish, we knock 20% off the price of the disc.  An offer not to be missed!

CD & DVD Content & Graphic Design

TechnoVisual are happy to Design any Artwork you may require, for example, you may require us to design your CD or DVD print face and package artwork, you just provide the text, font and colour and any photos or images you want to see on the package.  Or it may be that you would like us to provide a design for a glossy poster, booklet or flyer.  

TechnoVisual also specialises in Video and Audio Production, Animation and Special Effects and Editing for your CD/DVD content and our staff can also provide Re-Mastering, Authoring and Re-Authoring should this be required. All the above services are charged at £30.00 per hour (One hour minimum set up charge). 

We are happy for you to provide your own artwork should you prefer and we will provide you with the templates you will need for the CD/DVD print face and/or packaging.  Once the artwork is received, there is a set up charge for printed packaging including a full prototype, but no set up charge is made for printng on the disc surface.  However, we do require that this artwork is the final proofed version as changes or additions at prototype stage may incur further charges.

A one off set up charge of £30.00 plus vat will be made on any project involving artwork, if we make up the package in house.  This is to provide the templates, to check the artwork and set it up on our machines.  The charge also includes the production of a single full prototype which will be mailed to you for your review. Full payment will be required on acceptance of this prototype.  Please see further details regarding set up below.

Delivery of CDs, DVDs or any other printed material will be made using a reputable 24 hour courier, and charged at cost. If within the UK and not over 10kg the charge is £10.00 plus vat. Packs up to 15kg are charged at £12.50 plus vat and up to 20kg at £15.00 plus vat.  If the package is very small I will use Royal Mail if this is a cheaper option and if you are happy with this.

TechnoVisual have experienced graphic designers on hand who can help in the design of the artwork for your disc face, packaging or any  printed promotional material and this service is charged at £30.00 per hour plus vat.  Our designers will work with you to get the look and feel you are wanting.  We will keep you updated throughout the design process and send you proofs by email to make sure we are going in the right direction.  All we need from yourself is any ideas you may have on things like font, colour, background and style and any images or photos you want to include.  Once we have designed the disc print face, package or print material for you, we will follow our normal protoype or proofing service as explained below.  Emailed proofs are always free of charge, but we do insist that you accept our full prototype service for all printed packaging e.g. digipacks and printed wallets.  Afterall, this way you can be sure of your package and how it will look and feel before committing yourself to the full print run. 

Artwork Instruction Guidelines and Process Requirements

Should you wish to provide your own artwork, we will be happy to supply all the instruction and templates you will need for your specific disc print, package or printed material.  For printed and or duplicated discs only, no set up charge is made and we will always send you a scan of the first disc of the run via email free of charge.  However, if the project involves printed packaging, there will be a set up charge involving the supply of a full prototype for review and we would ask that the prototype charge is paid on confirmation of the order.   We ask that you follow our simple instruction and process requirements for artwork which includes these main points:

1) Please supply your artwork at the highest resolution possible - minimum 300dpi

2) Please add 3mm bleed  

3) Please do not take any text or graphics too close to the cut or fold marks - if possible leave at least 3mm margin.  Most of our templates show this 'safe area' and we would ask that all text and important graphics are kept within this area, it always looks bad if text especially is taken right up to the edges of the pack .

4) If you are supplying your own artwork for the project, we would ask that a final version is provided as future changes and re-works would be subject to a design charge and possible further set up charges.  However, if you have used something like Photoshop for your artwork and you are able to send it to us with all its layers (either a PSD or PDF would be ideal), this will make it much easier for us to make any small tweaks, if necessary.  Also if you can either save your text layers as shapes or send us the fonts used then we can ensure they stay as vectorised high resolution text.

5) The printer we use here for most printing is a digital CMYK printer, although it will simulate RGB very accurately as well. Therefore we would prefer that artwork is sent in CMYK mode although this is not essential.  The printer prints to a high resolution and has a good colour profile set up.  It has a sophisticated Fiery Rip on board which deals with colour profiling and when we use the default colour settings for printing your artwork we get a very good likeness to the colours seen on the computer monitor, however, this may differ considerably from any print out you make on your printer, colours can vary hugely depending on the type of printer used, the quality and type of inks and the colour and type of media used.  We will change the printer settings if we think this will be of a benefit to the look of the artwork, however we do not colour match as such, this would be impossible as we are sent so many different modes and formats.  If you are concerned about the colours it may be an idea to print out your artwork first to your taste and then send in this print so that we have something physical to match to.  Any excessive time spent on colour matching will incur further charges. If you prefer to have a print with a very high colour and print quality we do have very high spec inkjet printers and photo quality media here for this purpose, however using these alternative methods will mean that the prints will be charged at a higher cost per item.

6) Artwork always looks good if the text appears very crisp and sharp, and a good high resolution helps here, our templates are sent out as 300dpi but there is no reason why you shouldn't increase this if you want to.  Also if you are sending us an editable file we would recommend that you either embed the text (if using design programs such as Illustrator) or send us all the fonts you have used for your artwork, this way we can ensure that they stay as vectorised high resolution text.

7) FULL COLOUR PRINTED DISCS - Regarding artwork for the disc print surface if the disc is printed in full colour print, we are happy that you send the artwork as a square image you do not need to cut out the outer circle and we ask that you let us deal with the size of the inner hub, please leave it as a solid round.  

8) THERMAL BLACK TITLE DISCS - For the black titled discs, we have to input the text directly into the print software ourselves, therefore the template is purely a guide to show us the text you want, its position on the disc face and size of font.   If you want a unique font it is a good idea to actually send us the font file so that we can use it for your titles.

9) If you are sure that your artwork is the final version and will not need to be edited in any way then the file can be flattened or compressed and sent perhaps as a PDF or JPG via email. If you send it like this then please remember to either take out the template layer or make it invisible. If you are sending the editable version you may end up with a file which is quite large. 

You can use one of three ways to get your artwork to us:

a) By Email - We can accept files up to 8mb in size, however, your email provider may not allow files of this size to be sent. 

b) By Post (most ideal option if you are sending in a master disc anyway) - If you burn all your artwork onto a CD you can pop it into an envelope and send it in to us for the price of a first class stamp.  It is a good idea to send us your master disc for duplication at the same time (clearly marked please).  See our contact page for the address to send it to. 

c) Use a file share service like Yousendit, this method also allows you to send large files easily and quickly at no charge.  Alternatively if you have access to FTP, we can give you details to upload files to our server. just give me a call for this option on 01280 815161 or 018450096147.  Make sure you let us know when you have uploaded anything to our server.   

THE MASTER CD OR DVD MUST BE SENT TO US IN DISC FORM SO THAT A DIRECT COPY CAN BE MADE USING OUR DUPLICATORS

Set Up and Prototype Service
TechnoVisual always charge a one off set up fee of £30.00 plus vat for jobs including packaging with printed artwork eg. digipacks, printed card wallets and jewel cases with a full inlay, and this charge is for sending you the relevant templates, for checking your artwork to make sure it will work with the packaging and for setting up this artwork on our cutters and printers.   This set up fee will always include sending by post, one full prototype of your final package for review, before we start production.  On confirmation of the order we would ask for payment to cover the prototype charge only at this stage.  This charge will not need to be made again if a client returns to us for more copies of the same job.  We find this service invaluable yet very few other companies offer this same re-assurance of quality, it means that our clients are able to see and feel exactly what they are going to get before making any full committment.

For very simple artwork and packaging (not made up in-house) including; plastic wallet inlays, DVD case inlays and the slimline jewel case inlay, we do not insist on the full prototype, instead we offer a more simple flat print prototype service, plus a printed disc if this is required for just £10.00 plus vat.    This will consist of a flat prototype of the printed item up to A5 in size, printed on the same machine that will be used for the final print run and on the same card or paper, together with any specific finishing.  This flat prototype will then be mailed to you for your approval.  Once approved an invoice will be sent to you and full payment required before we commence production. 

We must stress that if you do not take up either prototype alternative as described above, we can not take responsibility for any unexpected variation in the final delivered packages.  In this case, we would also require full payment before we start the run.
